Yes, keep it up! I agree, practice could do the trick. Maybe switch to another wakeup method. I think vibrating alarm could be an option, because for myself, I often awoke from it even before the ringing started. Of course, you do not want to wake up, but use it as a trigger, but maybe it's working for you.
I have adjusted the volume to better suit me, so the alarm doesn't wake me up, and doesn't go unnoticed. I will try the vibration method tonight.
